CAN I PLAY BY MYSELF?
Sure you can. The treasure hunting has been thought up for both the players who want to hunt by themselves and the ones who want to challenge other players.
HOW CAN I ORGANIZE A CHALLENGE?
It is very easy: you can set a match which involves up to ten teams the moment that you decide to start the game session.
You will have to follow the simple instructions you will find in the first pages of the guide.
- Send a WhatsApp message to the indicated number, which must contain, in adtition to your name, an indicative number of the hours that you want the match to last (1 to 9, it’s up to you) and the word CHALLENGE since you want to play with your friends.
- After answering the request of sending the access code that you will find on the last page of the guide, you will be sent a code. Share it with your friends (the captains): they will have to send it via WhatsApp to the same number.
- The game starts off in the space of two minutes: all the captains will be sent a message with the first code and after a while the first clue that they will have to look for in the place that they will deduce by reading the first story.
- The routes will be different for each team but they will all converge on the same final spot. You will have information about who won and who came later.
- It will be possible to see your live match on-line
If you don’t express a duration in the first message, the service will choose the standard duration of roughly 2 hours with an average of five or six stages.
IF WE CHALLENGE EACH OTHER, HOW MANY CAN WE BE?
The game is thought up for a maximum of ten teams. If you are more then that, contact us at info@whaiwhai.com and we will find the way of personalizing your match. If you are a private and want to organize a party in search for the WHAIWHAI, we can arrange the details of your exigencies together. Personalized discounts are possible in case of a great number of purchases.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN BE IN A TEAM?
There is no limit to the number of people per team. However, for each member to get a more direct experience, we suggest teams of two or three people.
ARE THERE DIFFERENT DIFFICULTY LEVELS?
The WHAIWHAI hunting can be played on two levels: simple and advanced. In the first case the requests aim to the discovery of some details about the places to which you are led by the stories, and in the second one the requests ask you to resolve enigmas which are a little bit more challenging. The research is, however, thought up for anybody. The service automatically sets the match on the simple level; if you want to choose the advanced level, you just have to write the word “advanced” after your name in the message that opens the match.
WHAT IF I CANNOT ANSWER A QUESTION?
The game experience is thought up as accessible to anybody. If you give a wrong answer to one of the requests you can try again other two times. After three attempts the service will let you go on in any case and will send you the code of the following story.
WHAT IF I WANT TO MAKE MY COMPANY PLAY?

HOW MANY STAGES DO I SEE IN A MATCH OF TWO HOURS? AND OF NINE?
Roughly five or six in a match of two hours. Roughly twenty in a match of nine hours.
CAN I SUSPEND THE MATCH AND RESUME IT THE FOLLOWING DAY?
Yes, of course you can. Once started, the match remains active for two days, at the end of which it will be annulled.
CAN I INTERRUPT THE MATCH?
Yes, you can interrupt your game session sending a message with the indication “reset”.
WHAT IF I HAVE TROUBLE WHILE PLAYING?
Send a message with the indication “help” and we will be able to help you.
IS IT POSSIBLE THAT A PLACE IS NOT ACCESSIBLE WHILE I’M PLAYING?
Even if you should play by night, your WHAIWHAI hunting will not be thwarted by obscurity (but take a torch with you!) and by opening or closing hours. The places that you will have to examine are all public, mainly bridges, façades of palaces, squares, churches, wells etc…
